Florida

Florida is a state in the southeastern United States.  There is a sign at the lowest point of Key West indicating that this point is the southernmost point in the United States.  Known as the “Sunshine State”, Florida has a different tropical climate from northeast to southeast.  The warm climate brings about 60 million visitors to the state each year.  Beaches along with some of the most famous parks in the world including Walt Disney, World Studios, Bush Gardens and SeaWorld are some of the most popular attractions.  However, some remote areas of Florida are among the best tourist destinations and are worth a visit.  Florida is heavily focused on the tourism business.

Amelia Island

Amelia Island is one of the South Sea Islands, a chain of islands from South Carolina to Texas.  Amelia Island has the famous Fernandina Beach, a charming village with 50 blocks of historic buildings, delicious food and unique views, and six golf courses.

Castillo de San Marcos in St.  Augustin

Castillo de San Marcos in St.  Augustine is located in the oldest stone castle in the United States.  Given the good condition of the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument, the castle is believed to have been built in the late 1600s.  Its longevity is due to its design: the diamond-shaped slope at each corner shows maximum strength, and its thick 14-foot walls reduce the risk of attack.  St. Augustine itself is a small jewel of a city known as the oldest European settlement in the United States, full of romantic atmosphere and charm of the old world.

Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Orlando Resort is one of Disney’s most prominent competitors and owns the studio’s largest world parks.  The resort consists of two parks: Universal Studios Florida Main Park and Islands of Adventure Second Park.  Other attractions include a nightclub and restaurant complex, CityWalk and three luxury hotels.

Fort Lauderdale Beach

Fort Lauderdale is known as the “Venice of America” due to its extensive and complex canal system located on the Atlantic coast.  The city has the most famous beaches and boating routes.  Spring is a major destination and a chic and sophisticated city.  Along the Central Coast strip is Fort Lauderdale Beach with new leisure units, walking is ideal because it is a sparsely populated area as well as isolated beach restaurants and shops.

Kennedy Space Center

Launched in 1968, the Kennedy Space Center has been the site of American spaceflight and now serves as a launch pad for drones.  It is also a Florida tourist attraction and offers the Kennedy Space Center complex, including museums, cinemas, rocket gardens, and shuttle bus tours.  Even before launching rockets and spacecraft, the visitor complex sells tickets, but keep in mind that for safety and security reasons, the nearest available location is at least 4 miles and often much further away from the launch site.
